Production Manager

gpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the Indianapolis, IN area. Our client is seeking a Production Manager to plan and lead fabrication production and drive on-time delivery.

Position Responsibilities:

- Plan and schedule shop production to meet project deadlines

- Lead production supervisors and foremen

- Drive safety, quality, and productivity performance

- Coordinate material flow with purchasing and project management

- Identify and implement process improvements

Position Essential Job Functions:

- Create and maintain production schedules and capacity plans

- Track labor hours, throughput, and on-time delivery

- Resolve production bottlenecks and equipment issues

- Support quality inspections and AISC program requirements

- Report production performance to plant leadership

Position Skills:

- 5+ years of production experience in steel fabrication or metal manufacturing

- Supervisory or management experience

- Strong ability to read shop drawings

- Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes

- Lean or continuous improvement experience a plus

- Proficiency with production scheduling or ERP software

Benefits:
