Production Manager – Direct HireWe are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations and drive productivity, quality and accountability for a client located in Moore, SC.This is a highly visible leadership role for a motivated professional who leads by example, builds trust with front-line employees, and fosters a culture of teamwork, urgency, and pride in workmanship. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic who can maintain smooth operations while identifying opportunities to improve workflow, labor efficiency, communication, and overall manufacturing performance. Responsibilities Production Management
Lead and oversee daily production activities to meet schedules, productivity goals, and delivery requirements.
Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to monitor workflow, quality, efficiency, and employee performance.
Coordinate staffing, labor assignments, and workflow based on changing production needs.
Identify and resolve operational challenges to minimize disruptions and maintain production flow.
Monitor production progress and communicate potential delays or concerns to leadership.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Maintain high standards for product quality, workmanship, safety, and operational consistency.
Identify recurring quality issues and implement corrective actions to reduce errors and rework.
Evaluate production processes, labor utilization, equipment usage, and workflow to identify improvement opportunities.
Recommend and implement practical solutions to improve throughput, efficiency, and overall performance.
Support improved organization, processes, and systems to accommodate future growth.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop production employees and front-line supervisors.
Establish clear expectations and promote accountability, teamwork, and consistent performance.
Address performance, attendance, and behavioral concerns promptly and professionally.
Encourage open communication and collaboration across production teams.
Support employee training and cross-training initiatives to strengthen workforce flexibility.
Lead by example through professionalism, responsiveness, and a strong work ethic.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Production Operations, Design, Customer Operations, Purchasing, and other departments to support manufacturing goals.
Communicate production challenges, scheduling risks, and material constraints in a timely manner.
Provide feedback and recommendations to improve coordination, communication, and operational execution.
Qualifications
Previous manufacturing leadership or production supervision experience strongly preferred.
Experience managing hourly production employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Excellent problem-solving, observation, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining productivity and operational stability.
Hands-on leadership approach with a strong commitment to floor presence and employee engagement.
Practical, results-oriented mindset with the ability to balance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Self-motivated, dependable, and committed to continuous improvement.
Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish is preferred.
