    Employment Type: Full-Time

Language Requirements: English (fluent), Spanish ( basic understanding preferred – for communication with factory staff )

    About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Manager to join our food manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of food safety, a passion for continuous improvement, and a willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

We are a small-scale food production facility, so we’re looking for someone who can work closely with the team on the factory floor, take part in daily operations, and actively contribute to improving processes.

We're especially looking for someone who is eager to take on new challenges and has a mindset for factory improvements. If you enjoy thinking creatively to streamline processes and make things better, you'll thrive in this role.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Production management, including:
      • Inventory control of finished products
      • Managing ingredients, packaging materials, and ensuring factory equipment is properly maintained and ready for use
      • Staff supervision within the factory
    • Vendor negotiations (ingredients, packaging, and other supplies)
    • New product development in collaboration with the team
    • Coordination of shipments and deliveries to retail stores
    • Oversight of shipping operations for online sales
(Note: While not typically part of a production manager’s scope, online order fulfillment is an essential part of our operations.)
    Ideal Qualifications:
    • 5 year+ Experience in Food Industry
    • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)
    • Foundational knowledge of food science, food hygiene, and food-related regulations
    • Basic Spanish comprehension
    • Experience in food factory management or small-scale food shop operations preferred
    • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and improve factory processes
    • Strong leadership and team management skills; ability to motivate, manage, and mentor staff effectively
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in a production environment
    • High attention to detail in managing processes, materials, and inventory
    • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines
    • Experience in process optimization to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
    • Knowledge of quality control procedures, ensuring products meet standards and implementing corrective actions when needed
    • Project management experience, particularly with new product launches or operational improvements
    • Culinary school graduate or university degree in a related field preferred.
    Compensation: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
