About the Opportunity

A growing structural building-products manufacturer is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations at its truss facility.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who knows how to build a strong team, improve production efficiency, control costs, and keep customer orders moving through the plant. You will oversee a workforce of production employees while working closely with supervisors, team leads, and management to drive performance and maintain a safe, productive operation.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership, holds people accountable, solves problems, and understands how to turn people, equipment, and processes into consistent results.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations within a structural truss manufacturing facility.

• Lead and develop the production workforce of employees, including supervisors and team leads.

• Manage production schedules, workflow, throughput, and on-time completion of customer orders.

• Monitor labor efficiency, overtime, productivity, and overall production costs.

• Establish expectations and hold employees and supervisors accountable for performance.

• Monitor product quality, minimize rework, and address production issues.

• Identify bottlenecks, improve processes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

• Coordinate material flow, equipment utilization, and maintenance needs.

• Promote a safe working environment and ensure safety procedures are followed.

• Work closely with management and other departments to resolve challenges and keep operations running efficiently.

• Develop supervisors and employees while building a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Previous production or manufacturing management experience.

• Experience leading a sizable production workforce and managing supervisors or team leads.

• Strong understanding of production scheduling, workflow, labor efficiency, and manufacturing costs.

• Ability to measure production performance, identify problems, and implement practical solutions.

• Experience improving productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold people accountable and handle difficult situations.

• Effective communication skills with both production employees and company leadership.

• Comfortable making decisions, taking initiative, and being visible on the production floor.

• A hands-on leadership approach without losing sight of the bigger operational picture.

Truss, lumber, building materials, or other wood-products manufacturing experience is a plus.
