Description
Summary:
Shift: Mon - Fri 8:30am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
Handle and distribute materials from the shipping department.
Conduct inventory, shipments, and supplies throughout the plant and warehouse.
Pack wooden/overpack boxes and load customer orders onto trucks for shipment.
Operate industrial lift truck equipment safely and proficiently.
Accurately pull parts for production areas and stock parts in warehouse locations.
Manage shipping and receiving of outgoing and incoming materials.
Pick and pack medium and large items.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
Comply with safety requirements and company policies.
Complete production and quality assurance forms.
Participate in team meetings and group discussions.
Engage in continuous improvement activities or events as required.
Adhere to Quality Management System requirements.
Read and comprehend procedures written in English.
Use a forklift about 30% or less of the time.
Requirements:
High School Graduate or GED.
Minimum 1 year in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Ability to operate a computer to read and input data.
Must be able to work overtime.
Ability to think critically and troubleshoot problems.
Ability to pick and large pack.
Preferred Skills:
2 years of forklift experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
Wear appropriate PPE such as steel toe boots, gloves, and safety glasses.
Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, bend, work underneath equipment, reach above shoulders, and climb.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds unassisted and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
Work in typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures and occasional exposure to manufacturing fumes or by-products.
