Production Operator

JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The following job/task functions have been identified as the core functions of this position.  However, the supervisor or manager may assign additional duties associated with this position.

·       Work to ensure  resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards

·        Follow defined welding, stamping and repack procedures and comply with quality requirements. 

·       Ensure full adherence to 5S Standards at all times

·       Ensure all production inspection forms are completed appropriately

·       Ensure that non-conforming parts are clearly identified and isolated

·       Ensure that the escalation procedure for quality concerns are followed

·       Observes machines to detect errors or malfunctions and orders corrective actions

 

·       Prepare line set-ups for following shifts, including first piece buyoffs

·       Activate labels for bin location and quantities.

·       Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated tasks

·       Enforce all safety and quality processing procedures

·       Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company policies

 

·     Keeps work areas clean and orderly.

·     Participates in continuous improvement activities.

• Able and willing to work any shift assigned, weekends and overtime

·       Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Skills

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Proven technical ability
• Knowledge of stamping and/or welding processes
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proven manufacturing skills
• Ability to effectively complete multiple tasks

Required Experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

•       High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
