Role Overview:
We are hiring a hands-on Production Operator / Flux Operator to join our Sparks manufacturing team. Previous flux-processing experience is not required. We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and willing to learn a specialized production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate production equipment and complete assigned manufacturing processes.
- Prepare, handle, and process materials according to established procedures.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements.
- Complete routine cleaning and housekeeping of production areas and equipment.
- Perform basic quality checks and accurately document production activities.
- Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Participate in training and continuous-improvement activities.
Work Environment & Safety
Safety is an important part of this position. Some production activities involve handling materials that require specific safety precautions, including lead-containing materials.
Employees receive required safety training and company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE). A powered-air respirator is required for certain tasks but is worn only for limited periods during the shift, not throughout the entire workday.
Employees in this position participate in an occupational health and safety program that includes:
- Pre-employment medical clearance.
- Required PPE and respiratory-protection training.
- Routine blood testing approximately every three months.
- Ongoing safety training and established work practices designed to support a safe working environment.
- The company covers required occupational-health testing and provides all required PPE.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, machine-operation, material-handling, or general-labor experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to follow written procedures and safety requirements.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable performing hands-on, physically active work.
- Ability to wear required PPE during designated tasks.
- Ability to successfully complete the required medical clearance.
Candidates with experience as a production associate, manufacturing operator, machine operator, warehouse associate, material handler, or general laborer are encouraged to apply.
