Production Planner - 1st Shift

This position is located at Elgiloy Specialty Metals Wire Division (a division of Combined Metals) located in Sycamore IL. The Wire Division manufactures high-performance nickel and cobalt alloys for critical applications in Aerospace, Defense, Nuclear, Medical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Automotive, and Consumer industries.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for router creation.
• Responsible for creation and maintenance of standard processes.
• Responsible for material allocation of current inventory.
• Assist sales with standard lead times at quotation.
• Responsible for revising in-process routers when required by Process Engineer or Planning Supervisor.
• Assist Planning Supervisor with the creation and maintenance of the manufacturing parts system. 
• Review and maintain material reservations.
• Request raw material releases when required for routers.
• Maintain an understanding of plant capabilities.
• Review and maintain breakdowns for intermediate sizes.
• Create breakdowns for special testing.
• Understand Quality System.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of an MRP System.
• Associated degree or equivalent work experience. Equivalent work experience is defined as a minimum of two years' experience in either the wire industry or an administrative role.
• Previous experience of two years in an administrative or planning role.
