Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of industrial products with use of MRP and computer information systems.
  • Compiles work order routing sequences to include vendor, QC and related operations.
  • Assists in establishing sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Plans and schedules workflow in accordance with previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Coordinate and direct production planning to verify manufacturing schedules and provide input to the Production Manager for the creation of project schedules as required by the customer.
  • Coordinate raw materials, purchased parts, manufactured parts, the building of sub-assemblies, and final assemblies to support customer ship dates.
  • Interface with the Materials & Customer Service Manager, Production Manager and Contract Specialists as required to support customer ship dates.
  • Plans sequence of vendor operations, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
  • Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
  • Maintain check on vendor due dates, Stockroom, Receiving, and Shipping to keep informed.
  • Perform other similar or related duties as assigned, or as necessary to accomplish job objectives and Company goals in an effective manner.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to sit.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent; or minimum of three years related experience and/or training in production planning with MRP and computer background; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
