Production Runner - 3rd shift

As a Runner at GALLS, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately moving goods within the distribution center or warehouse. They ensure products are organized and distributed throughout the production area in accordance with company standards and customer requirements. The distribution runner works closely with other warehouse personnel to meet daily distribution goals and maintain inventory accuracy.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Inventory Management – Distribution runners may be responsible for tracking inventory levels in the production area. This could involve organizing totes by bridge dates (FIFO), bullpen stock count, and flagging any discrepancies
• Maximize the operational flow in the manufacturing area
• Transportation of Goods – Distribution runners may use hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts to transport goods within the warehouse. They ensure that items are moved safely and efficiently to their designated locations.
• Communication – Foster open communication among team members and encourage collaboration and problem-solving to address challenges quickly and effectively
• Organization and Cleanliness – Maintain a clean, organized work environment by sweeping floors, organizing shelves, and removing empty pallets and packaging materials. Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
• · Adherence to Policies and Procedures – Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Adhere to established guidelines for product handling, storage, and transportation to minimize errors and ensure compliance with industry standards
• · Enhanced Duties – this position requires the runner to interact with the leadership team & carry out specific tasks beyond the runner's normal duties, with the ability to interpret & follow out instructions with minimal supervision

WHAT YOU BRING

• Prior experience working in a warehouse setting is strongly desired
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to understand and execute instructions for daily tasks and to read orders accurately
• Proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to complete basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
• Highly organized and strong attention to accuracy and detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily productivity standards
• Ability to work overtime during the work week and weekends, while complying with GALLS’ attendance policy
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time, working in a non-temperature-controlled environment, and lifting up to 50lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
