Production Saw Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled individual to support our machine shop by operating the Haas 510 and production saws for optimal output and results. This position offers on-the-job and cross-training opportunities and involves working closely with experienced associates.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Haas 510 and production saws.
• Load materials and unload products.
• Retrieve programs and perform quality checks using micrometers and calipers.
• Engage in lifting, stacking, troubleshooting, and quick problem resolution.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of milling experience and production saw work.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret prints.
• Experience with changing fixtures, part programs, setups, and tools.
• Knowledge of tool heights and mechanical inclination.
• Capability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly and perform physical tasks such as standing, squatting, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing during an 8-hour shift.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow instructions.
• Pallet jack and/or forklift experience is helpful.
• Reliable and dependable attendance record.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Computer experience with Word, Excel, and business software systems.

Preferred Experience

• Job shop experience.
• Previous metal or fabrication experience, including hardware insertion, deburring, finishing, press brakes, stud/spot welding, powder coating, and paint preparation.
• Knowledge of or experience with ISO standards and procedures.
• Forklift experience is helpful but not required.
• Resides in Columbus or surrounding areas with reliable transportation.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Wage and Benefits

Wage is competitive and negotiable based on skill level, experience, and test results, with a minimum of $21/hr. Benefits are offered after a 60-day full-time qualification period. The shift includes two paid 10-minute breaks and one 30-minute unpaid meal time. The facility is tobacco-free, substance-free, and complies with EEOC standards.

Shift Details

• 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:15 p.m. – 1:45 a.m. (initial training required on 1st shift)
• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
