May coordinate with Supply Planning, Production, and Engineering. Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. The production schedule is based on customer requirements, safety stocks, material availability and production capacity. This position works closely with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Production and the Sales team on a daily basis. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.A day on the job may include:Creates and maintains production schedules for all products. Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and Human Resource requirements.Plans sequence of filling, assembly, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production team membersConfers with department Leads and Senior Lead to determine status of assigned workload or constraintsExpedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditionsPrepares production reportsWorks with buyer/planner(s) to expedite material shortagesLeads production planning meetings and completes assigned tasks from the meetings, acting as liaison for customer order ship datesCommunicates shortages and resolutions to purchasing and productionFacilitates the flow of materials to and from various work areas (sequencing)Provides sales with order ship dates and communicates schedule date changesAble to follow departmental SOP'sInterfaces with Shipping/Receiving regarding incoming shipments on a daily basisThis job may be for you if can:Capable of sitting for up to 8 hrs. a dayCapable of lifting up to 20 lbs.This job may be for you if you have:Minimum High School DiplomaPreferred Associates Degree with focus in Business or Supply Chain disciplinesHighly desired 4-year degree in Technical, Operations or Supply Chain ManagementStrong computer skills are required including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook)Familiar with MASFamiliar with CRM2-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a materials roleExtra Awesome:5 + years' experience in a Planning positionAbove average knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and processesStrong background in ERPAn understanding of master scheduling in a build to order and make to stock processesHighly organized-demonstrates strong organizational and planning skillsReady to Join Us?
