Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production employees during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent operations.
• Oversee daily production activities, maintaining quality, productivity, and operational performance standards.
• Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, training, and development to production teams.
• Monitor manufacturing processes, identify operational issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with established safety procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize production.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and other departments to resolve production challenges.
• Maintain accurate production reports, staffing schedules, and shift documentation.
• Foster positive employee relations and maintain accountability across the team.

Qualifications

• Glass manufacturing experience required, preferably in container glass or hot-end production operations.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and hold employees accountable.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment highly preferred.
• Must be willing and able to work a rotating shift schedule.
