Description
About the Role:
We're looking for a hands-on, results-driven Production Superintendent to lead and manage daily manufacturing operations across multiple production lines in a 24-hour facility. You'll ensure product quality, raw material efficiency, safety compliance, and team development all while helping us hit our productivity targets. In short, you're the go-to person for keeping things running smoothly on the floor.
You'll also be ready to step up and take charge of the entire plant when needed.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead by Example: Drive a zero-incident safety culture and ensure your team is working safely every day.
Oversee Production: Manage the full production process from raw materials to finished products ensuring quality and efficiency.
Team Leadership: Supervise and develop a team of supervisors, engineers, and technicians; indirectly oversee a unionized hourly workforce (~360 employees).
Optimize Operations: Plan work schedules, manage resources, and monitor performance metrics to keep everything on track and within budget.
Problem Solve: Tackle production or personnel issues and implement effective solutions.
Ensure Compliance: Maintain company standards, environmental regulations, and quality requirements.
What You Bring
Education & Experience: four-year bachelor's degree in management, engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of manufacturing plant leadership experience.
Leadership Skills: Experienced in leading large teams in a unionized environment (100+ employees). Strong performance management, coaching, and decision-making abilities.
Problem Solver: Able to troubleshoot production challenges and identify improvements quickly.
Tech Savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP systems like SAP.
Strong Communicator: Able to collaborate with leadership and communicate clearly across all levels.
Adaptable & Reliable: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical manufacturing setting. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
Travel: Minimal (up to 10 days per year). Work Environment: Typical of a manufacturing facility expect exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and machinery.
