Description

About the Role:
  • We're looking for a hands-on, results-driven Production Superintendent to lead and manage daily manufacturing operations across multiple production lines in a 24-hour facility. You'll ensure product quality, raw material efficiency, safety compliance, and team development all while helping us hit our productivity targets. In short, you're the go-to person for keeping things running smoothly on the floor.
  • You'll also be ready to step up and take charge of the entire plant when needed.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead by Example: Drive a zero-incident safety culture and ensure your team is working safely every day.
  • Oversee Production: Manage the full production process from raw materials to finished products ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and develop a team of supervisors, engineers, and technicians; indirectly oversee a unionized hourly workforce (~360 employees).
  • Optimize Operations: Plan work schedules, manage resources, and monitor performance metrics to keep everything on track and within budget.
  • Problem Solve: Tackle production or personnel issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain company standards, environmental regulations, and quality requirements.

What You Bring
  • Education & Experience: four-year bachelor's degree in management, engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of manufacturing plant leadership experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Experienced in leading large teams in a unionized environment (100+ employees). Strong performance management, coaching, and decision-making abilities.
  • Problem Solver: Able to troubleshoot production challenges and identify improvements quickly.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP systems like SAP.
  • Strong Communicator: Able to collaborate with leadership and communicate clearly across all levels.
  • Adaptable & Reliable: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical manufacturing setting. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

Travel: Minimal (up to 10 days per year).
Work Environment: Typical of a manufacturing facility expect exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and machinery.
