We"re hiring an Production Supervisor. This role includes direct responsibility for program management of planning, manufacturing, integration, and test of production value stream. This is a highly technical role requiring experience with integrated hardware and software as well as some appreciation for complex applications and manufacturing systems. Candidate superpowers should include bias for action, ownership, insist on high standards, stakeholder management, innovation, creating clarity out of ambiguity, and enabling productive collaboration across different organization.

Key job responsibilities

As an Production Supervisor, you will:

  • Plant Production Leader M-F 2nd shift (3:30pm - 12:00pm)
  • Work cross-functional to understand daily production requirements across multiple Value Streams
  • Provide tactical and strategic direction to multiple teams
  • Create processes to handle work order material discrepancies in production cells
  • Coordinate scheduling and staging of materials/kits to production and test areas
  • Track and move parts through production flow for timely delivery
  • Drive execution across supply chain, planning and production teams
  • Assess technical trades for innovation, speed, cost and stability in production roadmap
  • Convert strategic goals into actionable project plans
  • Develop tools and processes for operational excellence across production
  • Own operational rhythms for production teams
  • Identify manufacturing risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Execute strategic plan to deliver on production goals
  • Support Production Rate Ramp roadmap execution
  • Partner with teams on standardized approaches to enable growth
  • Drive process standardization across supply chain and manufacturing
  • Manage executive communications on operations status and risks
  • Monitor and improve KPIs across operations
  • Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities

Export Control Requirement:

A day in the life

This role will be supporting production of satellite operations across our facilities in Kirkland, WA. A typical day for this role will be working directly with production teams and value stream owners on plan execution and check process adherence. You will interact with various stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. To deliver these complex solutions, as the Senior Technical Program Manager you will partner with peers across all Leo teams, including hardware, software, supply chain, manufacturing, launch, facilities, finance, compliance, and HR.
