    Schedule: First shift, full-time
    Openings: Two

We are hiring two experienced Production Supervisors to lead first-shift food-processing operations.

The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience in poultry, meat, seafood, dairy, refrigerated foods, or another high-volume food-production environment. Poultry or protein-processing experience is strongly preferred.

Each Production Supervisor will lead approximately 30 to 40 employees, including line leads, and will be responsible for safety, staffing, production output, quality, food safety, and employee performance.

This position requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable spending most of the shift on the production floor.

    What You’ll Do

    • Supervise approximately 30 to 40 production employees and line leads
    • Coordinate daily production activities to meet customer orders and production schedules
    • Assign employees to production lines and ensure adequate line coverage
    • Monitor product quality, yields, labor utilization, efficiencies, and downtime
    • Ensure employees follow GMPs, HACCP procedures, safety rules, and company policies
    • Train, coach, motivate, and develop production employees
    • Address attendance, productivity, conduct, and performance issues
    • Conduct team meetings and employee training
    • Complete production reports and maintain required documentation
    • Work closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Sanitation, and plant management
    • Help identify process improvements and ways to reduce waste and downtime
    • Ensure production areas and equipment remain safe, clean, and operational
    • Maintain appropriate working relationships with USDA representatives

    Requirements

    Required Experience

    • Previous supervisory or production-line leadership experience in food processing
    • Experience supervising hourly production employees
    • Understanding of food safety, GMPs, sanitation, and HACCP procedures
    • Ability to manage production schedules, staffing, attendance, quality, and efficiency
    • Strong communication and employee-relations skills
    • Ability to handle problems quickly in a fast-paced production environment
    • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and production reporting
    • Ability to work in a refrigerated, wet, and physically demanding environment

    Preferred Experience

    • Poultry processing
    • Raw meat or protein processing
    • Tray pack, deboning, cut-up, evisceration, whole-bird packaging, or further processing
    • USDA-regulated food production
    • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement

    Benefits

    Compensation

The salary range is $55,000–$70,000 per year, depending on experience.

Most qualified candidates are expected to fall near $65,000 per year, with additional flexibility based on directly related poultry or protein-processing leadership experience.

    Physical and Environmental Requirements

    • Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
    • Ability to work around poultry, feathers, animal by-products, and processing odors
    • Ability to work in cold, wet, and humid conditions
    • Willingness to work occasional Saturdays or additional hours when production needs require it

Candidates without food-processing leadership experience will not be considered.

The original job description includes responsibility for line production, yields, efficiencies, labor utilization, HACCP compliance, equipment coordination, USDA interaction, and leadership of approximately 25 to 50 employees.
