Kutol Products Company is a growing manufacturer of hand soaps, sanitizers, and dispensing systems, producing products used in workplaces, schools, healthcare facilities, and businesses across North America and beyond. Operating from our Silver LEED Certified facility in Sharonville, Ohio, we manufacture both cosmetic and OTC drug formulations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. We are currently seeking a 2nd Shift Liquid Processing Supervisor to join our team and help support our mission of providing "Clean Hands for a Healthy World."
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives on developing people, solving problems, and driving operational excellence. As a Production Supervisor in our Liquid Processing Department, you'll lead a team responsible for producing batches of high-quality product for our packaging lines. You'll be a key link in ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Liquid Processing Department during 2nd shift to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
- Supervise Liquid Processors and Processing Assistants while promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across shifts.
- Coordinate production schedules, staffing, and workflow to keep batches moving efficiently through the process.
- Partner with Quality and Laboratory personnel to maintain product specifications and resolve production issues.
- Communicate Kutol's Mission, Vision, Values, and Quality Commitment while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure Teammates are trained on applicable procedures, GMP requirements, safety practices, and quality standards.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and training efforts for new Teammates.
- Coach employees, conduct performance reviews, and support employee development and growth.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Operations to ensure materials are available to support production requirements.
- Complete production reports, documentation, and shift communications to ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
- Uphold plant safety requirements and maintain 5S standards for organization, efficiency, and cleanliness.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment and coordinating maintenance needs to minimize downtime.
- Step into operational activities when needed, including batching, transfers, cleanouts, and forklift operation.
- Support company policies and provide leadership in addressing performance and conduct issues when necessary.
- Perform additional duties, projects, and assignments as needed.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with Minimum 12th grade proficiency in reading & math
- 5 years job related experience in a like manufacturing/production environment with experience or specialized training in Supervision
Knowledge/Skills & Ability:
- Ability to effectively supervise and manage people in a team environment
- Thorough understanding of batch making and production processes
- Liquid Processing equipment knowledge with mechanical aptitude & manufacturing skills
- Ability to read and follow formulas and work instructions, properly calculate, weigh and add ingredients as specified
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork
- Knowledge of the safe handling of hazardous chemicals and applicable raw materials
- Good math and reading ability; ability to write reports and analyze data
- Applicable computer/software skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office Programs, and to navigate and report out of SAP system
- Forklift Certification
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Stand/walk – up to 100% of the time
- Lifting/moving objects (to the waist) up to 60lbs at varying frequencies
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of Liquid Processing job duties
- Hand/eye coordination (machine repairs)
- Tolerance for dusty conditions, heat, and exposure to chemicals, dyes, fragrances and perfumes
