Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift
Location: Bedford, OH

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and support production employees, assigning tasks based on individual skills, staffing needs, and production requirements.
• Develop and coordinate production schedules to meet daily goals, customer requirements, and delivery deadlines.
• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and address quality concerns promptly.
• Enforce company safety policies, conduct routine safety inspections, and ensure employees follow established procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance personnel to address machinery issues and minimize downtime.
• Track production metrics, evaluate performance, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Troubleshoot production challenges, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Monitor raw material and supply inventory, coordinating with purchasing and other departments to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Collaborate with Quality Control, Maintenance, Production Planning, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely order completion.
• Prepare production reports and communicate key performance metrics, issues, and improvement opportunities to management.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the production team.

 
Required Skills and Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or production supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• Associate degree preferred, or a minimum of five years of equivalent relevant work experience.
• Strong leadership and employee supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
• Experience with production planning, scheduling, and meeting daily manufacturing goals.
• Ability to make sound decisions, manage competing priorities, and work effectively under pressure.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry, production tracking, and reporting.
• Commitment to workplace safety, product quality, and continuous improvement.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass a preemployment screening

 
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $30–$38 per hour
Schedule: 2nd Shift, with training on 1st Shift
Employment Type: Direct Hire
