We are committed to craftsmanship, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our Custom Fabrication Department, overseeing welders, metal assemblers, and wood product assemblers. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for production scheduling, capacity planning, workforce management, quality, safety, and on-time delivery of custom-built products.Key Focus of the RoleThe primary responsibility of this position is to effectively schedule labor and production activities across welding, metal assembly, and wood assembly operations to ensure customer orders ship on time while maximizing efficiency and resource utilization.ResponsibilitiesCreate and manage daily and weekly production schedulesCoordinate labor and capacity across welding, assembly, and wood product departmentsLead, coach, and develop production employeesMonitor production performance, labor efficiency, and on-time deliveryIdentify and resolve scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and capacity constraintsEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and ISO standardsTrack key metrics including productivity, rework, scrap, and trainingMaintain inventory accuracy and reduce material wastePartner with Engineering, Planning, and Quality teams to meet customer requirementsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to improve workflow and productivitySupport equipment maintenance and safe operation of production machineryQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate's degree preferredMinimum 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment required3+ years of manufacturing experience requiredExperience with production scheduling, capacity planning, and labor allocation requiredExperience in welding, fabrication, assembly, or woodworking environments preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience (NetSuite preferred)Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand and walk for extended periodsMust wear required PPE, including safety shoes and safety glassesWork EnvironmentManufacturing facility environmentExposure to machinery, welding operations, airborne particles, and noiseWhy Join Lakeside Manufacturing?Stable and growing manufacturing companyLeadership growth opportunitiesCollaborative team environmentStrong commitment to safety and qualityCompetitive pay and benefits package
