The Production Supervisor position is responsible for supervision and training of shop personnel to include the manufacture and quality control of all equipment, parts orders, work orders and equipment process implementation.  This position reports to the Plant General Manager.
Qualifications
  • Dedication to excellence and quality.
  • Department Manager – KMC Global Appendix A
  • Good general math and trigonometry
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing routing forms
  • Good hands-on mechanical ability
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working with metal fabrication
  • Hands-on working knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Three- Five years minimum supervisory experience
 
Responsibilities
  • Promote excellence throughout the department
  • Responsible and accountable for shop organization, cleanliness, and quality
  • Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing facility
  • Supervise activities of manufacturing to obtain optimum productivity and accuracy
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Continuous improvement is expected in all critical activities
  • Job, work order and parts order scheduling
  • Assist in the development and implementation of fixtures and fixture kits for existing and new products
  • Maintain a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety
  • Interface with other manufacturing departments, engineering, purchasing, processing, shipping and sales
  • Attend all scheduled meetings as required
  • An active member of the manufacturing problem-solving team
