    The Production Supervisor leads manufacturing activities for 1st Shift, ensuring that components, subassemblies, and finished products are produced safely, on schedule, within quality standards, and in accordance with customer and company requirements. This position supervises production employees, coordinates staffing and priorities with Planning and other departments, addresses process and equipment issues, and supports continuous improvement across the operation.

    This position is full-time, on-site Monday through Friday in our Painesville, Ohio manufacturing facility. 1st Shift; 7 am to 4:00 pm.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead daily production activities for the assigned shift, including staffing, workflow, priorities, and assignments.
    • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity objectives.
    • Supervise, coach, and develop production employees, including attendance tracking, training, performance management, and PTO reviews.
    • Maintain working knowledge of products, processes, equipment, drawings, schematics, and applicable work instructions.
    • Monitor and maintain compliance with company policies, the Quality Management System, safety requirements, 5S+, and applicable IPC workmanship standards.
    • Coordinate with Production Planning, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to resolve issues and achieve production goals.
    • Troubleshoot production, process, and equipment issues; escalate maintenance needs promptly.
    • Ensure products, materials, documentation, and floor stock are properly identified, labeled, stored, and controlled.
    • Complete and verify required production, quality, attendance, inventory, and system records.
    • Establish and monitor SQCD metrics and communicate shift performance, risks, and corrective actions.
    • Ensure nonconformances are documented in the appropriate system and support corrective and preventive actions.
    • Maintain appropriate floor-stock levels.
    • Conduct periodic asset inventories and report equipment or resource conditions to the Production Manager.
    • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, meetings, audits, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education, training, and/or progressively responsible manufacturing experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
    • Supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

    REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Thorough understanding of production operations and machinery.
    • Ability to read blueprints and schematics and apply understanding to product build.
    • Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Excel.
    • Working knowledge of ERP system.
    • Working knowledge of HRIS system.
    • Ability to meet ITAR requirements. US Citizen or US Permanent Residency status.
