Job Description

Production Supervisor | Lead the Night Shift
Vernon County, Wisconsin
$65,000–$87,000 Base Salary
5:00 PM–5:00 AM | 2-2-3 Rotation, Including Weekends

Your next move should give you something to build—a stronger team, a better operation, and a future with the company.

gpac is partnering with an established dairy manufacturer seeking a Production Supervisor to lead its night-shift production team. With more than 100 years of history producing fresh, high-quality dairy products, this company continues to grow and invest in new equipment at its facility.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on food manufacturing leader who enjoys being on the floor, helping employees succeed, and seeing the results of a well-run shift. You’ll bring direction to daily operations while helping your team maintain the safety, quality, and consistency customers depend on.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • $65,000–$87,000 base salary, based on experience.
  • An established company investing in its future, including new production equipment.
  • Room to advance, with a preference for promoting from within when possible.
  • A 2-2-3 rotating schedule, providing scheduled days off throughout the week and alternating weekends.
  • Benefits supporting physical and mental well-being.
  • Meaningful leadership responsibility with the opportunity to develop employees and improve how your shift operates.

What You’ll Lead

As Production Supervisor, you’ll guide the people and processes that keep the night shift moving. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Daily production execution: Organize workflow, communicate priorities, and guide employees toward production goals.
  • Employee leadership and development: Set clear expectations, provide coaching, support training, and address performance concerns.
  • Food safety and product quality: Reinforce GMPs, sanitation expectations, and food safety procedures throughout the shift.
  • Equipment and process understanding: Build a working knowledge of manufacturing equipment so you can support operators, recognize problems, and help resolve production challenges.
  • Problem-solving: Respond to staffing, equipment, and workflow issues while keeping safety and quality at the forefront.
  • Production documentation: Maintain accurate records and use data management programs to monitor performance and communicate results.
  • Shift communication: Keep employees and other departments informed so issues receive attention and the next shift has a clear handoff.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify practical ways to reduce interruptions, strengthen consistency, and help the team work more effectively.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least three years of experience in food manufacturing, including leadership responsibilities.
  • A strong understanding of GMPs and food safety practices.
  • The ability to earn your team’s trust, communicate clearly, and follow through on expectations.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to learn the equipment and processes used throughout production.
  • Familiarity with production records, computer systems, and data management programs.
  • Strong organization and sound judgment when priorities change.
  • Availability to work 5:00 PM–5:00 AM on a 2-2-3 rotation, including weekends.
