Production Technician I

Job Summary

Responsible for performing a variety of tasks involved in the assembly of Chemtec products while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.  

Responsibilities

(Essential Functions)

·         Participate in all Safety Meeting

·         Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

·         Follow and initiate 5S standards maintaining safe and clean work area.

·         Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, P&ID’s, and instructions.

·         Assemble, Fit, aligns, and adjust pipe spools/components to specifications per drawings.

·         Operate basic power and hand tools to assemble products according to specifications.

·         Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

·         Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move components and/or sub-assemblies.

·         Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety or quality.

·         All other duties assigned.

Experience, Education, & License Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 to 2 years proven experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills & Abilities

• Some knowledge of basic math and familiarity with fractions and decimals.
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment, such as tape measures, squares, etc.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively & able to work within a team environment.
• Self-starter. Must be able to take initiative, be reliable, and have strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to squat, bend, and work off ladder and lift 75lbs.
• Willingness to work a varied schedule with flexible hours.
