Production Technician

Location: Lafayette, IN 47905 – Near Delphi
Pay: $17.00–$18.00/hour
2nd Shift Differential: Additional $1.00/hour
Employment Type: Temporary with potential for conversion
Hours: Approximately 49+ hours per week with mandatory overtime.

Schedule

1st Shift 

• Monday–Thursday: 5:00 AM–3:30 PM.

• Friday: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.

• Every other Saturday: 5:00 AM–11:00 AM.

2nd Shift 

• Monday–Thursday: 1:00 PM–1:30 AM.

• Every other Friday: 2:00 PM–8:00 PM.

Temporary Employee Bonus

Eligible temporary employees hired between October 19 and November 30 will receive:

• $500 after 30 days of continuous service.

• $750 after 120 days of continuous service.

Overview

The Production Technician performs hands-on industrial cleaning and preparation of gas tanks in a physically demanding manufacturing environment. This position requires working inside confined spaces, using power tools, working at heights, and following strict safety and quality procedures.

Job Duties

• Clean and prepare the interior of industrial gas tanks.

• Enter and work inside confined spaces through openings as small as 16 inches.

• Operate power tools, including grinders.

• Work at heights using lifts, safety harnesses, and required fall-protection equipment.

• Perform detailed industrial cleaning and sanitation.

• Follow established safety, quality, and work procedures.

• Work in dirty, wet, and physically demanding conditions.

• Maintain productivity and quality standards throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, food-processing, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.

• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.

• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and perform physically demanding work for extended periods.

• Comfortable using power tools and working in an industrial environment.

• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

• Must be available to work mandatory overtime.
