Job Title: Production Lead

Shift: Monday–Friday, 11:00pm–7:30am
Compensation: $21.00 per hour
Summary of the Role:The 3rd Shift Production Lead will oversee a team of approximately 20 employees in a fast-paced blow mold plastics manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for coordinating daily production activities, ensuring employees meet production and quality standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing experience, strong leadership abilities, and the ability to effectively manage a large production team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee approximately 20 production employees during the overnight shift.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure employees are working efficiently.
- Monitor blow molding production lines to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
- Provide direction, training, and support to production employees.
- Monitor employee performance, attendance, and workflow.
- Assist with troubleshooting production issues and minimizing downtime.
- Ensure machines are operating properly and report equipment concerns.
- Perform routine quality checks and ensure finished products meet company standards.
- Coordinate employee breaks and production coverage to maintain workflow.
- Communicate production updates, staffing concerns, and equipment issues to management.
- Assist with machine changeovers and production adjustments as needed.
- Ensure employees follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
- Complete production reports and shift documentation as required.
- Perform additional leadership and production duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Previous manufacturing or production experience required.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to effectively lead and coordinate a team of approximately 20 employees.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and productivity.
- Ability to make decisions and resolve production issues during the shift.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and maintain accountability during overnight operations.
- Previous plastics manufacturing or blow molding experience preferred.
Compensation:$21.00 per hour
