Bring your marine and port engineering expertise to a mission-driven team making real improvements along Louisiana’s waterfront. This Professional Engineer - Marine & Port Infrastructure opportunity is based onsite in Sulphur, LA, where you’ll help deliver design and construction support for critical harbor, port, and waterfront projects.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Professional Engineer - Marine & Port Infrastructureposition include:
- Minimum five years of professional engineering experience with marine, port, harbor, waterfront, or closely related maritime-infrastructure projects.
- Active Professional Engineer license required; Louisiana PE is strongly preferred, and comity registration may be considered for candidates licensed elsewhere.
- Lead planning and design of marine, port, harbor, and waterfront infrastructure projects, including docks, wharves, piers, bulkheads, shoreline improvements, and related landside infrastructure.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, calculations, cost estimates, bid documents, engineering reports, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate civil, structural, geotechnical, drainage, utility, transportation, environmental, and permitting considerations for waterfront projects.
- Review survey, geotechnical, hydrologic, hydraulic, structural, and environmental information for incorporation into project designs.
- Provide construction administration and field support, including inspections, RFI and submittal review, change-order evaluation, and resolution of field conditions.
- Sign and seal engineering documents within your area of competence; support technical guidance and mentorship as needed.
Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
