CU Boulder is seeking an organized, diligent, and proactive Program Coordinator to join our Industry Research Partnerships team. This 50% position will provide essential support in coordinating programs, events, and communications that connect CU Boulder's world-class faculty and research expertise with leading industry partners. The Program Coordinator will ensure smooth program operations, track key outcomes, and help foster an environment where partnerships and innovation can thrive.

The Innovation & Partnerships team within CU Boulder's Research & Innovation Office is translating groundbreaking discoveries into new solutions, businesses and partnerships, connecting the university's research strengths with industry, government, and entrepreneurial partners across sectors like Aerospace & Defense, Biosciences, Advanced Energy & Sustainability, and Quantum. The team builds and manages strategic industry relationships, guiding partnerships from first contact through structured collaboration, lowering barriers to innovation by connecting partners with top talent and supporting scalable collaboration. Working alongside CU Boulder's research institutes, tech transfer, and contracting offices, the team helps faculty and external partners move ideas from concept to real-world impact, while supporting the university's broader goal of growing industry-sponsored research and workforce development opportunities.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Program Coordination & Operations

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for industry-faculty meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Coordinate scheduling, communications, and materials for industry partnership programs.
  • Track program timelines, results, and outcomes, ensuring effective follow-through.
  • Maintain accurate program records, contacts, and project databases.
  • Support the development and distribution of program communications, reports, and marketing materials.

Event & Engagement Support

  • Assist in planning and hosting events, conferences, and campus visits for industry partners.
  • Coordinate travel logistics, catering, room reservations, and other event needs.
  • Serve as a welcoming point of contact for visiting partners, faculty, and partners.

Faculty & Partner Support

  • Provide administrative support to faculty interested in or engaged in industry partnerships.
  • Help respond to partner inquiries and route them to appropriate staff or faculty.
  • Support coordination between CU Boulder units (Contracts & Grants, Advancement, Career Services, Venture Partners, etc.) to facilitate smooth partner engagement.

Tracking & Reporting

  • Maintain shared files and tracking systems for partnerships, events, and projects.
  • Assist with collecting and organizing data for reports and communications.
  • Contribute to monitoring program impact and identifying areas for process improvement.

  • This is a 50% time position.
  • This position offers a hybrid work modality with at least 2 days per week in person to support events.
  • This position involves occasional work during the evening to support event and partner visits.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a combination of education and experience may substitute.

  • Ability to build professional relationships with faculty, staff, and external partners.

  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience supporting programs or events in a university, research, or industry setting.
  • Familiarity with university systems such as contracts & grants, industry partnerships, or career services.
  • Proficiency with data tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, CRM systems).
