Overview
Yale New Haven Hospital is seeking an accomplished academic podiatric foot and ankle surgeon to serve as the Program Director of its CPME-accredited Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program. As Program Director, you'll provide strategic and educational leadership for a well-established residency program while maintaining an active clinical practice. Position Summary
The Program Director, Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program serves as the senior physician leader responsible for the vision, administration, and continued advancement of the Yale New Haven Hospital Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program.
Working collaboratively within Yale New Haven Health and as an integral member of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) enterprise of the Yale School of Medicine, the Program Director provides strategic leadership in the education, clinical training, and professional development of resident physicians. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring an exceptional educational experience that prepares residents to become highly skilled, ethical, and independent podiatric foot and ankle surgeons.
In addition to administrative oversight, the Program Director serves as a physician-educator, mentor, and academic leader who actively participates in resident teaching, curriculum development, faculty engagement, scholarly activity, and institutional service. The Program Director ensures compliance with all Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME) accreditation standards while promoting excellence in resident education, clinical care, innovation, and continuous program improvement.
