Standard Job Description

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

THE WORK

As the Program Manager for Black Hawk Sustainment, you will lead a ~$500M per year portfolio encompassing co-production, spares and repairs, performance-based logistics (PBL) programs, technical services, and modification programs. Your mission: deliver on all contractual and financial commitments while cultivating positive customer relationships across all USG and FMS locations. This role involves:

• Program Growth: Collaborate with capture management and business development to expand the sustainment portfolio and meet customer expectations.
• Program Delivery: Lead efforts across the entire team to ensure successful execution of customer directed sustainment programs.
• Collaboration: Partner with operations, supply chain, and engineering to guarantee program feasibility and alignment.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with internal and external stakeholders, conduct executive management reviews, and maintain alignment with corporate strategies.

Basic Qualifications

• 8 years of program experience; including solid understanding of Risk and Opportunity management
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing, engineering, or sustainment
• Experience with strategic sourcing process and capture management
• Experience with team building, personnel management, and team leadership involving subcontract managers, engineers, and various technical support personnel
• Relationship building skills are essential for this role and the ability to build strong relationships across various cultural boundaries will be critical to success
• Ability to manage complex, projects with multiple inter-dependencies
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills with personnel / customers ranging from inexperienced employees thorough general or executive leadership level and demonstrated strong customer relationships at every level
• Must be willing to travel internationally
• Ability to obtain secret clearance

Desired Skills

• Experience with international capture or program management, including experience with managing international direct commercial contracts
• Experience managing a diverse international team and managing teams outside the US
• Experience with rotary wing technologies & US Army or US Navy rotary wing operations and platforms

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $205300.00 - $381300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
