The Program Manager performs a variety of professional activities including determining program goals and objectives, coordinating program activities, services, and program implementation with private providers, other governmental entities, etc. They communicate and work effectively with community partners such as law enforcement, the Children's Justice Center, County Attorneys and administration. They participate as a member of the region-wide administrative team and may chair committees established to support the program while directly supervising staff providing direct client services. They also perform the following tasks:Monitoring and evaluating operations and program services for quality and effectiveness; making recommendations for improvement.Developing and coordinating plans and policies, resources, mission as well as goals, vision, and expectations for the agency and/or the program.Managing a team of child welfare professionals including: hiring, determining workloads, delegating assignments, training and development, monitoring, evaluating performance, initiating corrective actions, and terminating.Coordinating program activities, services, and/or programImplementation with private providers, other governmental entities, etc.May include performing 24-hour on-call services as required under supervisor's direction. 24-hour on-call services assignments may be based on, and subject to, geographic employment location and/or agency demand.
