Piper Companies is hiring a Program Manager for an award-winning company located in the Raleigh-Durham Area. The Program Manager will work closely with product operations to support product-aligned delivery models. The Program Manager role requires time in office 3 days per week in Durham, NC.
Responsibilities of the Program Manager:
- Align the portfolio by driving quarterly executive prioritization and ensuring initiatives tie to strategic goals
- Increase delivery visibility by leading monthly execution reviews, standardizing reporting, and maintaining a unified risks/issues view
- Strengthen change management by applying a lean framework, reinforcing ownership, and ensuring consistent executive‑aligned communication
- Improve delivery outcomes by resolving at‑risk initiative issues, shaping system‑level roadmaps, and supporting strong UAT and discovery practices
- Lead cross‑functional coordination by supporting teams with complex dependencies and ensuring smooth sequencing across IT and product groups
Requirements of the Program Manager:
- Senior program leadership with 8+ years of project management experience and 3+ years leading complex technical programs or multi‑team portfolios
- Education and tooling proficiency including a bachelor''s degree in business, Finance, Technology, or related fields, plus experience with SaaS project tools such as Smartsheet and JIRA; certifications like PMP, PfMP, or SAFe are a plus
- Technical and SDLC fluency including software‑development experience, ability to translate velocity and SDLC data into executive insights, and practical understanding of AI in IT/software work
- High‑EQ executive influence with strong relationship skills, proven ability to influence senior leaders, and the diplomacy to partner with technical squads while respecting ownership boundaries
- Adaptive delivery expertise with Agile/Scrum fluency, ability to apply hybrid or waterfall approaches, strong dependency management, and capability to drive large‑scale roadmaps and resolve at‑risk initiatives
Compensation for the Program Manager:
- $140,000-$155,000
- 10% bonus
