Title: Program Manager - Residential

FLSA Status: Exempt


Purpose:

This position is responsible for overseeing and leading the day-to-day operations at our Intensive Residential Treatment Facility. We are committed to providing person-centered and trauma-informed care to our residents. We are also committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all.  


This position is responsible for providing support, development, and leadership to all program staff, and supervisors. This role will be familiar with managing external changes that impact service delivery, financial structure, integration, and expansion opportunities. The Program Manager serves on the organization's Clinical Operations Team with other leaders across Guild to advance the mission and vision of the agency.

  • Well-developed service delivery concepts that support the agency's mission of quality client care.
  • Knowledge of laws, rules and policies that pertain to IRTS and Crisis programs.
  • Demonstrate skill in participative management and development of staff.
  • Program-level budgeting including oversight and accountability.
  • Promote an inclusive, diverse, culturally knowledgeable, and respectful environment.
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills including the ability to independently meet deadlines and prioritize competing activities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with clients, staff, community partners and stakeholders; including creating documentation, facilitating meetings and giving presentations.
  • Effective engagement and motivation of staff, facilitate change management, and develop and strengthen culture of inclusion and support
  • Lead the team in defining and setting program expectations, shared responsibilities and assignment of work; provide leadership and direction to others.
  • Provide continuous assessments and input in the program's development in meeting consumer and staff needs.
  • Use data and critical thinking skills to effectively solve problems and identify the essential factors in situations and creatively engage individuals in solutions.
  • Be flexible and respond quickly to rapidly changing conditions in the workplace and levels in service demand.
  • Exhibit a sense of personal and professional empowerment, to influence and create positive change.


Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of mental illness and the needs of people with mental illness.    
  • Ability to develop and maintain receptive, open, and approachable lines of communication with clients and staff, and provide a friendly environment for visitors.   
  • Demonstrated skill in participative management and supervision of staff.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including composing, proofreading, and editing.     
  • Presentation and meeting facilitation skills.     
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and be open to new processes.  
  • Ability to work as a proactive and positive member of a team to deliver quality services.    
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of organization, personnel information, and client data.   
  • Ability to use sound judgment and maintain healthy professional boundaries.    
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.    
  • Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities.   
  • Proficiency with a variety of web-based software and databases, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record systems.   


Working Conditions:

  • This position has the potential to encounter bodily fluids, communicable diseases, tobacco smoke, and/or household pets. 
  • Some activities may be required in the community. 
  • Travel may be required to other program sites.   
  • Prolonged periods at a desk, working on a computer. 
  • Manual dexterity for tasks such as taking notes, using technological devices for documentation, or assisting clients with certain activities if needed. 
  • Must be ambulatory and able to negotiate stairways. 
  • The ability to lift and carry heavy weights that could be up to 25 pounds. 


Education and Experience:

Required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Non-profit Management, or Social Work.
  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in the Behavioral Sciences.
  • A license as an independent mental health professional (LICSW, LMFT, LPCC).

Additional Requirements:

  • Must not be actively receiving services from Guild Incorporated and must not have received services within the last two years.
  • Ability to pass a MN Department of Human Services background check.
  • A valid Class ‘D’ Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, satisfactory driving record and necessary insurance.
  • Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends as needed.

The salary range for this position is between $78,185 - $94,770 annually. The range reflects the minimum and maximum salary for the position. Compensation will depend on the candidate’s professional experience, skills, and relevant education, training, and certifications.
