Georgia Tech Office of Development (DEV)

Our fundraising team at Georgia Tech currently consists of more than 100 professionals who are focused on securing transformative philanthropy (major and principal gifts) to support the strategic priorities of the Institute and its colleges, schools, and programs, including Georgia Tech Athletics. For fiscal year 2024 (closed 6/30/2024), the Development teams efforts resulted in over $243 million in new gifts and commitments in support of Transforming Tomorrow: The Campaign for Georgia Tech which will secure more than $2 billion in new commitments and gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations, and other organizations. One of the most significant priorities within Transforming Tomorrow is ensuring access of the brightest undergraduate, graduate, and professional students to Georgia Tech, regardless of their socioeconomic backgrounds. Serving as the liaison between Georgia Tech and private foundations, the Office of Foundation Relations initiates, cultivates, and secures funding from private foundations to support the Institutes priorities and strategic initiatives. The Georgia Tech Office of Foundation Relations manages relationships with private foundations for the Institutes strategic initiatives, making it possible to advance knowledge across all disciplines.

Job Summary

The Program Manager works with many levels of leadership and staff to manage program efforts based on industry best practices; works as the single point of contact for facilitation and communication of program goals, deliverables, and schedules, and must be an excellent communicator; various levels of documentation will be produced at each stage of the program and the program manager is often the person who creates these with input from others.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -

Establish goals, objectives, and evaluation criteria for programs; evaluate program effectiveness on an ongoing basis

Job Duty 2 -

Manage day-to-day operational aspects of programs, including planning scheduling, and monitoring activities; Assist with developing and formalizing program scope; assign resources and set deadlines

Job Duty 3 -

Recommend, update, and support programmatic policies and procedures

Job Duty 4 -

Develop and maintain effective relationships with program sponsors, stakeholders, teams, and others to assess needs and existing program methodology

Job Duty 5 -

Research and identify funding and resources to support programs; Track timelines and budgets, report status, and resolve or escalates issues as necessary

Job Duty 6 -

May assist with developing and distributing publications, resources, and program or marketing materials

Job Duty 7 -

Participate in strategic and operational planning for programs

Job Duty 8 -

Perform other job-related duties assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or Vocational School Diploma

Other Required Qualifications

Position is responsible for organizing and managing over 100 semester-based sections across all Georgia Tech campus locations

Required Experience

Up to two years of job-related experience

Proposed Salary

Proposed Salary: $55,029 - $74,841. Commensurate with education and experience.

Skills

This job requires skills in the application of administrative support in the specialized area of development. Included are event planning, communications, organization, document preparation and records management. Use of business related computer applications is required.
