Position Description:

The Programmer Analyst is responsible for supporting the analysis, development, and implementation of software solutions for maintenance, evolutionary enhancements, and strategic projects within the custom Tronweb application. This role actively participates in managing initiatives that impact multiple lines of business (Property & Casualty, Auto, and Life), ensuring operational continuity and the platform's evolution in alignment with company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Requirement Analysis: Analyze functional and technical requirements to translate them into efficient, scalable, and robust software solutions.
  • Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using ASP.NET Core, Angular, Java, ESP, or other relevant enterprise technologies.
  • API Integration: Build and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring industry-standard architecture, data integrity, and security practices.
  • Database Management: Implement and maintain databases in SQL Server and Oracle, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform unit, integration, and regression testing to guarantee high-quality software delivery prior to deployment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with multidisciplinary teams to define project scopes, estimate timelines, and plan deliverables effectively.
  • Technical Documentation: Author clear, structured, and comprehensive documentation for technical processes, system functionalities, and code changes.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience working as a Programmer, Software Developer, or Systems Analyst.
  • SDLC Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, analysis, development, deployment, testing, and project time estimation.
  • Modern Web Frameworks: Strong expertise as a web developer with solid command of ASP.NET Core, Angular, ESP, and/or Java.
  • Database Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced skills in database programming utilizing Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Modern Dev Tools: Proficiency with modern IDEs such as Microsoft Visual Studio and VS Code, alongside experience utilizing GitHub and GitHub Copilot for version control and productivity.
  • Reporting Services: Foundational knowledge and experience generating basic business reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Agile Methodologies (Preferred): Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and collaborative team environments.
  • Cloud & Microservices (Preferred): Knowledge of cloud computing fundamentals (AWS or Azure) and exposure to Clean Architecture and microservices design patterns.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (Bachillerato): Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a strictly related technical field.
