Project Accountant

SUMMARY:

The Project Accountant performs a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and processing of project cost and payment records, including providing overall support to operations staff with financial details. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountingor related field,or equivalent yearsofrelevant experience

• Two (2)to four (4)years ofAccountingexperience

• Public accounting experience preferred 

• Construction industry experience a plus

• Decision making, research and analyticalproblem-solvingskills

• Time managementskillswith the ability to organize, assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, anddemands

• Ability towork independently

• CMiCsoftware experiencea plus

• Able to quickly learn and understand new software and systems

TECHNICAL JOB KNOWLEDGE:

• Independently updates existing account reconciliation and analysis templates (over/under billing,closeout reports,negative cash,prepaids,accruals)

• Efficiently produceswork deliverablesinCMiC

• Applies general knowledge of GAAP developed through education or experience to correctly record accruals,prepaids,over/under billing adjustments

• Reviews,validates, and analyzesCMiCreporting (PSRs/ Invoices to be posted, expense reimbursements, GL account balances)

• Createsaccurateschedules andsubmitsto Management

• Applies general knowledge of excel to update recurring or ad hoc excel schedules
