Project Accountant (Temporary)

Our client is seeking a Project Accountant for a temporary assignment with a growing, project-driven organization.

This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys partnering with project managers, analyzing project financial performance, and helping ensure projects remain on track financially from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor project financial performance, including revenue, costs, budgets, and profitability
• Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Review project costs and identify trends, variances, and potential concerns
• Support project billing and revenue recognition activities
• Prepare project-related financial reports and reconciliations
• Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate financial information and project documentation
• Assist with contract, change order, and project financial administration
• Maintain accurate project accounting records and supporting documentation

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in project accounting, project finance, or related accounting roles
• Experience supporting project-based businesses
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operations and project teams
