Architect -Job Description 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading architectural projects through all phases of design, documentation, permitting, bidding, and construction administration. This individual should be comfortable managing multiple projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing technical leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and industry standards. 

The candidate should have strong design, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor team members, collaborate with clients, and oversee quality throughout the project lifecycle. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture. 
• Active Architectural License required. 
• Minimum of 10 years of professional architectural experience. 
• Strong knowledge of building construction methods, materials, and applicable building codes. 
• Experience managing projects through all phases of design and construction. 
• Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
• Proficiency in architectural design and construction documentation software. 

Responsibilities 

• Lead architectural projects from concept through construction administration. 
• Prepare and oversee architectural designs, construction documents, specifications, and permitting packages. 
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout the design process. 
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables in collaboration with Project Managers. 
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards. 
• Prepare cost estimates and statements of probable construction cost. 
• Manage permitting activities and respond to jurisdictional review comments. 
• Support bidding activities, including responding to contractor questions and reviewing project documentation. 
• Provide construction administration support, including resolving field issues and reviewing submittals. 
• Present design concepts and solutions to clients and project stakeholders. 
• Research and apply building codes, zoning requirements, and regulatory standards. 
• Mentor architects and design staff while providing technical guidance and professional development. 
• Conduct project coordination meetings and facilitate communication between project teams. 
• Sign and seal construction documents as required. 
• Resolve design and technical challenges while maintaining project quality and client expectations. 
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. 
• Perform additional architectural and project-related responsibilities as assigned.
