Project Architect – Houston (Workplace Interiors Studio) About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Project Architect to join a leading architecture and design studio in Houston, supporting a high-performing Workplace Interiors team. This role is ideal for a detail-driven Project Architect who excels in construction documentation and coordination for corporate interior projects.

If you’re a Project Architect looking to take ownership of technical delivery while working on high-impact workplace environments in Houston, this opportunity offers both stability and growth.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience (8–10 years level)
  • Strong project pipeline in corporate interiors and workplace design
  • Collaborative studio culture with direct access to leadership
  • Clear growth trajectory into senior technical or project leadership roles
  • Exposure to high-profile corporate clients and developers
  • Hands-on project ownership from documentation through construction
  • Support for licensure progression and professional development
  • Work on impactful, design-driven workplace environments in Houston

The Role

As a Project Architect, you will play a critical role in translating design concepts into fully coordinated, buildable construction documents. This Project Architect position in Houston is heavily focused on technical execution, documentation leadership, and cross-disciplinary coordination within corporate interiors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the production of construction documents for corporate interior projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with design intent
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, interior designers, and consultants to integrate all building systems
  • Manage technical documentation including plans, elevations, details, specifications, and schedules
  • Participate in construction administration by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and supporting site observations
  • Apply building codes, ADA requirements, and industry standards to ensure full compliance
  • Mentor junior team members on technical documentation standards and best practices
  • Maintain strong communication across the project team to meet deadlines and deliverables

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture from an accredited program
  • 8–10 years of professional experience in architecture or interior architecture
  • Strong experience with corporate interior or workplace projects
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and related documentation tools
  • Solid understanding of building systems, materials, and detailing for commercial interiors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Licensure not required, but progress toward licensure is encouraged

What Success Looks Like

  • You consistently produce accurate, high-quality construction documents
  • You proactively coordinate across disciplines to avoid conflicts
  • You are a trusted technical resource for both internal teams and consultants
  • You help elevate team performance through mentorship and collaboration

Location

This Project Architect role is based in Houston, offering the opportunity to work in one of the most active and design-forward commercial markets in the U.S.

Why Apply

This is more than a typical Project Architect role in Houston—it’s an opportunity to specialize in workplace interiors, gain ownership over technical delivery, and grow within a studio that values precision, collaboration, and design excellence.
