The Role
As a Project Architect, you will play a critical role in translating design concepts into fully coordinated, buildable construction documents. This Project Architect position in Houston is heavily focused on technical execution, documentation leadership, and cross-disciplinary coordination within corporate interiors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production of construction documents for corporate interior projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with design intent
- Coordinate closely with project managers, interior designers, and consultants to integrate all building systems
- Manage technical documentation including plans, elevations, details, specifications, and schedules
- Participate in construction administration by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and supporting site observations
- Apply building codes, ADA requirements, and industry standards to ensure full compliance
- Mentor junior team members on technical documentation standards and best practices
- Maintain strong communication across the project team to meet deadlines and deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture from an accredited program
- 810 years of professional experience in architecture or interior architecture
- Strong experience with corporate interior or workplace projects
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and related documentation tools
- Solid understanding of building systems, materials, and detailing for commercial interiors
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Licensure not required, but progress toward licensure is encouraged
