We are hiring a Project Communications Lead for our client in downtown Boston (working on a hybrid schedule). 

The person selected for this opportunity will be focused on executing communications plan for a major business transformation program. This position will ensure project updates, stakeholder messages, and team announcements remain consistent and timely. This position will work closely with project leadership and OCM teams to draft, prepare, and communicate critical project information into clear, engaging content to maintain momentum for the overall program. This role facilitates the transition between current and future project states by aligning communication workstreams and leading the tactical execution required to maintain project momentum.

Responsibilities
  • Audit the current progress of the project’s communications teams to ensure all activities are synchronized with the broader project roadmap.
  • Draft and distribute high-quality content, including project briefings, status updates, stakeholder engagement, and presentations, following established templates and tone.
  • Coordinate the development and distribution of project-related materials such as announcements, reports, and newsletters.
  • Review and maintain existing project distribution lists to ensure all stakeholders receive critical project updates.
  • Manage the project’s SharePoint document sharing site to ensure correct filing of materials related to project management and deliverables.
  • Review content of the program website to recommend updating or addition to content.
  • Monitor feedback channels and escalate complex concerns to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain trusted relationships with all agency staff and stakeholders, ensuring they remain informed, engaged, and "project-ready".
  • Provide regular progress reports to program leadership and maintain meticulous documentation to ensure project continuity.
Qualifications
  • Proven ability to quickly "step into" a complex project environment and build immediate credibility with a large team.
  • Demonstrated experience in project communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to draft professional business correspondence and engaging content quickly.
  • Ability to rapidly learn the program’s language and organizational culture to maintain continuity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, especially PowerPoint, and digital communication tools such as Mailchimp and/or WordPress.
  • Proven ability to pivot between reactive, time-sensitive project announcements and the proactive development of a long-term communications roadmap.

Pay $60 - $71.40 / hour W2 Depending on Experience
