THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- The ideal candidate has a proven track record of performing construction quality control audits, providing cost control recovery plans, maintaining cost systems, and providing monthly cost reports.
- They thrive in a fast paced and a team oriented environment.
- They get excited about construction projects as well as completing assignments on time.
- An individual who will do well in this position is self oriented, organized, a great communicator, and approachable.
- Comfortable working within a team environment at the project site in Los Angeles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS
- Create/open new cost codes within the existing work breakdown and project coding structures for control and integrity of work defined by the contract.
- Recommend solutions or recovery plans to schedule or cost impact or delays.
- Maintain the cost system and provide required reports.
- Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management.
- Manage the change management process.
- Prepare reports from HCSS for and facilitate weekly cost review meetings with construction team.
- Facilitate preparation of the monthly report for the Owner.
- Provide meaningful, accurate historical data.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.
- Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff.
