This is a supporting role to the Director of Corporate Real Estate and provides ongoing staff support for major corporate initiatives and projects. Responsibilities will include reporting and providing information for effective management decision-making.
Responsibilities
Assist with property relationships in assigned region
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and lead small projects as assigned.
Act as the bridge between the business and Director in support of the PM.
Support workstream and documents of projects processes, procedures, and tools for assigned projects.
Monitor the project schedule and deliverables.
Track progress and report updates to the project/program manager.
Recognize problems or situations that will or may impact the project delivery.
Assist permitting processes associated with the business fee and easement areas in assigned region
Support Director developing project initiatives in assigned region with real property information
Serve as Real Estate liaison and administrator to internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, including utility companies, municipal zoning and planning departments
Relay third party enquiries to internal the business stakeholders
Skills
Ability to work independently with good judgement and detail orientation
Experience maintaining trackers, databases, or project management tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously when interacting with supervisors or stakeholders
Experience in real estate, land acquisition, utilities, or related fields preferred
Experience reading/reviewing title and appraisal documents, maps, and real estate agreements such as easements, leases, and deeds preferred
Strong research skills with experience using county records and property databases preferred
Excellent organizational abilities with a focus on accuracy, documentation, and version control
Ability to manage multiple deadlines, track tasks, and communicate proactively
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SharePoint or similar document management platforms
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, consultants, third parties, and external agencies
Education & Certifications
4-year degree
Experience in real estate and/or the utility industry is desirable.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday. 7.5-hour workday with .5-hour unpaid lunch. Paid for actual time worked; there are no paid vacation or sick days. During our company and Canals holidays, the business is closed, and no work is permitted. We require a hybrid schedule of a minimum of 3 days on-site, up to including fully on-site depending on department requirements.
