    Description

    Overview:
    The Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) is responsible for pre-award administration of grants and
    contracts, supporting investigators in developing proposals and funding strategies for their research and
    scholarship; protection, management, and licensing of the University's intellectual property; oversight of the
    use of human subjects and laboratory animals in research and teaching and the use of infectious agents and
    recombinant DNA; implementation of the University's policies on conflict of interest in research and
    misconduct in research and scholarship; and working with other administrative offices to create an
    environment at the University that encourages and facilitates research. The OVPR assures that the services and
    resources provided by the units under its direction meet the needs of the research community and satisfies the
    requirements of laws and regulations that govern research and protect the University's interests. This includes
    policy development, strategic planning, and oversight. The OVPR also works closely with the research
    leadership of the schools and Tufts Medicine to promote cooperation, collaboration, and sharing of resources
    to maintain a positive working relationship between the schools and with the hospital. Additionally, the OVPR
    maintains close working relationships with faculty and department chairs to keep abreast of the needs and
    direction of research and to foster an environment of open communication and responsiveness.
    What You'll Do:
    Provides advanced support and coordination for a university Program or Project. Produces a variety of
    documents, reports and proposals, responds to inquiries and provides detailed information to constituents.
    Organizes and maintains files and databases; designs and updates applications or other forms for data entry. May
    assist in updating website and posting social media material. Participates in development of program or project
    marketing and communications materials, coordinates logistics for meetings and events including travel and
    arrangements for speakers, provides research assistance, and monitors budgets.

    • Project Reports: Produces a variety of project documents, reports, or literature.
    • Communication: Responds to a variety of inquiries related to the project, responding to a broad range of
      issues and providing relevant information to faculty, staff, students and other constituents.
    • Organizes and maintains project files and databases. Updates data and tracks project information.
    • Monitors budgets, executes financial transactions and prepares reports.
    • Coordinates project marketing and promotional efforts. Arranges logistics for meetings, special events, assisting with planning, determining venue and coordinating production of promotional and presentation materials.
    • Conducts internet research and gather information and data draft reports on results
    • May provide guidance and work direction to student and temporary workers and assist in training other support staff.
    What We're Looking For:
    Basic Requirements:
    Knowledge and experience typically acquired by:
    • Associate's Degree Plus 3-5 years related experience
    • 3-5 years with Associate's Degree
    • Conducts internet research and gather information and data draft reports on results
    • Responds to a variety of inquiries related to the project, responding to a broad range of issuesand providing relevant information to faculty, staff, students and other constituents.
    • Produces a variety of project documents, reports, or literature .
    • Coordinates project marketing and promotional efforts. Arranges logistics for meetings, specialevents, assisting with planning, determining venue and coordinating production of promotionaland presentation materials.
    • May provide guidance and work direction to student and temporary workers and assist intraining other support staff.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree Plus 1-3 years related experience
    • 1-3 years with Bachelor's Degree
    Salary Range: Minimum $27.85, Midpoint $33.15, Maximum $38.50
