Assistant Project Engineer
East Hartford, CT
Contract
$40.41-$50.69/hr


Support to the lead engineers on the project execution for various programs related to materials & processes. Execute the projects pre-defined by the lead engineers, e.g. microscopy, internal lab testing, some level of external material testing. 

Basic Qualifications: Assistant Project Engineer
  • MS Office basic proficiency (Word, PPT, Excel)
  • Technical writing and editing
  • Managing test article logistics including shipping, and moving boxes/ materials weighing up to 20 lbs across office/lab
  • Other project/logistic support as needed.
  • Bachelors (Materials science and engineering, or Mechanical engineering with understanding of materials properties)
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Higher proficiency (data analysis) in Excel is preferred.
  • Understanding of metallography, characterization tools and basic understanding of materials properties
