General Responsibilities:

As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering geotechnical engineering solutions to our clients. You will be responsible for managing and executing projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and providing technical expertise. Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
  • Provide geotechnical design parameters for shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, and other geotechnical elements.
  • Conduct field investigations, soil testing, and laboratory analyses.
  • Prepare technical reports and engineering recommendations for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including LRFD (Load and Resistance Factor Design) guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced engineers and technicians on the team.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in geotechnical engineering.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong technical background.
  • A valid NY PE (Professional Engineer) license is required.
  • Experience in transportation projects and familiarity with LRFD is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical engineering software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel for field investigations and project meetings as required.
