About Our Client

Our client is an established commercial general contractor and construction manager serving public and private clients across Ohio.

The Role

Our client is seeking an Entry-Level/Mid-Level Project Engineer to support project managers and superintendents on commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to grow toward project management with a well-established builder. Public project experience is a plus.

What You'll Do

• Manage submittals, RFIs, and project document control
• Assist with subcontractor buyout, scopes of work, and procurement tracking
• Support schedule updates and coordinate subcontractor activities with the field team
• Prepare meeting minutes, logs, and project reports
• Assist with change order pricing, cost tracking, and pay applications
• Support public contract compliance, including prevailing wage documentation where applicable
• Conduct site walks for quality control and punch lists
• Assist with project closeout, including O&M manuals, warranties, and as-builts

What You Bring

• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (required)
• 0-4 years of commercial construction experience (internships/co-ops welcome)
• Ability to read plans and specifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools
• Strong organization, communication, and a willingness to learn

Preferred

• Public project experience (education, healthcare, government), including prevailing wage exposure
• Prior internship or experience with a commercial general contractor
• OSHA 10/30 certification
