The Engineer II / Project Manager Engineering II is responsible for managing capital engineering projects from initiation through completion (“cradle to grave”). These roles support either base capital projects at existing generation facilities (natural gas and coal) or strategic capital initiatives involving large, complex projects such as renewable energy systems and major infrastructure upgrades. Both positions require strong technical engineering knowledge combined with project management expertise to ensure safe, cost‑effective, and timely project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesLead full lifecycle project management including scope development, execution, and closeouValidate project justification and ensure stakeholder requirements are incorporated into scopManage project budget, schedule, quality, and safety performancCoordinate procurement activities including hiring engineering consultants, contractors, and ordering materials/equipmenOversee project execution and conduct periodic field visits to monitor progresEnsure compliance with contract requirements for vendors, contractors, and supplierReview and support design documentation and engineering drawingConduct vendor/shop inspections and witness equipment testing when needeCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, environmental, sourcing, project controls, and engineering teamFacilitate project closeout and transition to operations teamRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline5–7+ years of engineering experience (preferred for Level II rolesMinimum 2+ years of project management experiencExperience in utility, energy, or oil & gas industries preferreProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP (preferredPreferred CertificationFundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam completioProject Management Professional (PMP) – nice to havProfessional Engineer (PE) – beneficial for long-term growt#J-18808-Ljbffr
