Project Engineer

Waldinger has been building and maintaining the systems that keep buildings running for over a century. We're looking for an early-career Project Engineer who wants to learn construction from the ground up and help bring real projects to life.

You'll work alongside experienced project managers, engineers, and field leaders to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and built to a high standard. It's a hands-on role with time on job sites in all kinds of weather, mentorship from our Project Managers, and a clear path to grow your career.

What You'll Do

• Planning and coordination: Help build and carry out project plans and schedules, submit RFIs, manage documentation, and coordinate resources so deliverables land on time.
• Engineering support: Run technical calculations, review drawings and specs for accuracy, and give field crews guidance on construction methods.
• Quality: Inspect workmanship and materials, catch and resolve deficiencies early, and recommend corrective actions.
• Cost control: Track labor, material, and equipment costs against the budget, and spot ways to save.
• People and problem-solving: Work with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep communication clear and resolve issues as they come up.
• Your network: Build client relationships through client events, industry conferences, local associations, and Project Manager mentorship.

What You Bring

• 0–2 years of construction, engineering, or related experience. Recent graduates are welcome.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.
• Willingness to travel moderately and work on job sites in varying weather conditions.
