• BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management, or a relevant technical field (significant work experience in mechanical engineering may be substituted for education). rn
• At least 5 years of job-related experience, ideally in fields related to aerospace and military training systems or similar high-tech environments rn
• Ability to interpret and work with electrical and mechanical drawings, interface control documents, requirements specifications, and system models rn
• Proficiency with Model Based Design / Engineering and ANSI Y14.5 (GD&T) rn
• Strong computer skills and experience with standard office software. rn

• Experience with naval or industrial power plants rn
• Project or Engineering Management Certification (PMI, CPEM) rn
• Experience with any combination of: Building Information Models (BIM), AutoDesk Revit, Jira requirements management, Deltek CostPoint, SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM, TipQA rn
• Knowledge and/or experience with relevant quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) rn
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data analysis or automation rn
• Experience in test planning and execution for complex systems rn

• Defines and manages the overall technical scope of the project, interpreting client requirements, specifications, and applicable standards to develop comprehensive engineering execution plans and ensure alignment among various engineering disciplines rn
• Supervises assigned electrical and mechanical engineers, design drafters, and systems engineers in all aspects of assigned scope and employee requirements rn
• Oversee the development, review, and integration, and test of all engineering deliverables, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports from various disciplines, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with project requirements rn
• Coordinates and reviews engineering analyses and calculations performed by discipline engineers to ensure technical accuracy and validate design assumptions rn
• Manages the technical aspects of procurement, including developing technical specifications for equipment and materials, evaluating vendor proposals, and ensuring selected vendors and items meet project and engineering needs rn
• Facilitates the resolution of technical issues and challenges that arise during design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, coordinating input from various engineering disciplines and stakeholders. rn
• Develops and manages technical scopes of work, monitors engineering progress against project schedules and budgets, identifies variances, and implements corrective actions as needed. rn
• Provides engineering oversight and support during procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning phases, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety rn
• Conducts or coordinates site inspections and progress reviews to monitor technical compliance, identify potential issues, and ensure work aligns with engineering designs and project objectives rn
• Identifies and manages technical risks throughout the project lifecycle, developing mitigation strategies in collaboration with the project team rn
• Serves as a key technical interface between the project management team, discipline engineers, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of technical information rn
• Manages technical changes to the project scope, evaluating impacts, and ensuring proper evaluation, documentation, and approval rn
