We provide technical expertise, engineered solutions, and exceptional customer service to manufacturing, industrial, contractor, and engineering customers throughout North America.Job OverviewThe Project Estimator & Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for supporting the sale and application of industrial heat tracing solutions through technical estimating, project support, and consultative sales activities. This role serves as a key technical resource for customers, contractors, engineers, and internal stakeholders by developing project estimates, recommending solutions, and supporting successful project execution.The ideal candidate possesses strong technical aptitude, customer relationship skills, and the ability to translate customer requirements into practical heat tracing solutions. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by solving complex technical and commercial challenges.Key Responsibilities and Duties
Prepare project estimates, quotations, and technical proposals for industrial heat tracing applications
Review construction drawings, specifications, take-offs, and project documentation to determine project requirements
Assist customers with product selection, system design recommendations, and application guidance
Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure accurate technical solutions and pricing
Maintain project documentation, estimate records, and customer communications
Support project execution activities to ensure customer requirements are met and projects remain on schedule
Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, engineers, industrial customers, and distribution partners
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned markets and territories
Conduct consultative sales activities focused on understanding customer applications and recommending appropriate solutions
Support customer retention and growth through responsive service and proactive communication
Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and project reviews as needed
Serve as a technical resource for customers and internal teams regarding heat tracing products and applications
Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions that meet customer needs
Maintain a high level of product knowledge and industry expertise
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and suppliers to support project success
Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Experience in construction estimating, project management, technical sales, industrial distribution, or related field preferred
Experience with estimating software, project take-off tools, or construction documentation preferred
Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand industrial mechanical and electrical systems
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Excellent communication, presentation, and customer relationship management skills
Strong organizational and project management capabilities
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems
Working Conditions
Primarily office-based environment located in Mount Airy, Maryland
Frequent interaction with customers, suppliers, and project stakeholders
Occasional travel to customer facilities, construction sites, and industrial manufacturing plants
Standard Monday through Friday work schedule
