Salary: $190,000 - $290,000 per year
A bit about us:We're a Twin Cities general contractor with more than 60 years in this market. We build multifamily, senior housing, supportive housing, and community-focused commercial projects — the kind of buildings that change a block, not just fill a lot. We have a healthy backlog and a business development engine that's producing. We're small on purpose: lean enough that your fingerprints are on the outcome, established enough that you're not betting your career on next quarter's pipeline. Our values are — care for others, straight communication, humility, and taking on hard things with enthusiasm - how we actually operate.
Why join us?- Real path to ownership and leadership. Multiple senior leaders are retiring over the next 18–24 months. This is a runway, not a lateral.
- You'll actually have impact. People come here from the big nationals specifically to stop being a line item and start moving the business.
- Direct access to leadership. No layers, no gatekeepers. The C-suite is a hallway away and answers on the first ask.
- Small-company family culture. People stay here 10, 13, 20 years — and the ones who leave the bigs to join us don't go back.
- Work/life balance we'll defend. Senior leadership here treats it as a differentiator, not a perk page.
- Meaningful work. Affordable and supportive housing, historic renovation, and community projects alongside market-rate multifamily.
- Stable, growing, and honest about it. Strong backlog, disciplined growth, and leadership that will tell you exactly where the gaps are.
Job DetailsThe Role
This is a senior leadership seat. You'll oversee a portfolio of multifamily projects from concept through closeout while owning the client relationship with owners, developers, and design partners. You'll partner closely with pre-construction on bidding, estimating, scheduling, and contract review. You'll mentor and lead project managers and superintendents. And you'll own the number — budgets, cost control, and project profitability across your portfolio.
Just as importantly: you'll build. We're candid that this role includes standing up systems and process and rebuilding a PM bench. If you want a machine handed to you, this isn't it. If you want to build the machine and be recognized for it, keep reading.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of general contracting experience, including significant time as a Senior Project Manager or PX
- Ground-up multifamily delivery experience — required
- Strong pre-construction, estimating, scheduling, and budgeting command
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop PMs and superintendents
- Comfort with ambiguity and a genuine appetite for building process where none exists
